My Studio Corner

For the last couple weeks I have set out with excitement to finish this project!  This week I finally completed my studio. It helps to be in an inspiring environment to create.  It’s not just called a studio because it is literally in a corner/nook in the back of our living room (it’s been here since converting our 2nd room to the baby room), hence “Studio Corner.”  The name helps me embrace the space too!  Despite the picture below, I hate clutter.  If my work area is cluttered, my mind is cluttered and it’s hard to create.

Above is the area I’ve been trying to work in.  I know, it’s bad, isn’t it?

And now, for a small tour of my new studio space!

Here’s the “entrance” from the hall.

Storage that is finally more organized!

Paintings that are still underway after 51 weeks of projects.

And the part that I love…gallery-style hanging clips for the wall.

A few things for the desk, but not too much because I need little clutter (side note: I bought the legs to the desk a couple years ago at IKEA and found the desk top in the “as-is” section of IKEA this year for $3!).

The view from 8 feet up.

Thanks for joining me on the tour.  I’m excited to create in this space in the upcoming year!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
