Homemade Stenciled Baby Onesies

I came across the idea of creating my own stencils for onesies on Pinterest several months ago.  It’s pretty easy to do using some freezer paper, an Xacto knife, and paint.  I wanted our little man to be able to support Freedom 4/24, but needed something in his size.  A few things aligned to inspire creativity:

  • dying a couple onesies blue back in October
  • praying with our church for the women in Thailand and the Thailand team earlier in December (Johanna Calfee, a friend and excellent writer, shares on her blog about the trip)
  • and Christmas Eve last Saturday (wear your Freedom 4/24 on the 24th of each month)

Some projects are a developing process. After the above, I painted the onesie last Saturday, and snapped the photos today.

We call this pose his “Kung-Fu Ninja” pose.  We find him with one arm up and one out a lot!

Kai’s for Freedom.  I am excited to support Freedom 4/24 that was started by a friend to help free women from sexual exploitation.  Go here to purchase a shirt in your size to be a part of something great!

Happy New Year!

P.S.  Notice in the title of this post that onesie is plural.  Another stencil is in the making, but can’t be revealed until it is mailed to his friend.  I’ll post it within a couple weeks.
